I posted this, erm, elsewhere but I've heard you've been having connectivity issues. So I'm not sure that you can see it *here* either. But I thought I'd give it a shot. And it's about a cartoonist so it should fit in here.
This tribute page to the work of the incredible Basil Wolverton includes the wonderfully grotesque "Lena the Hyena" and the gal from the cover of MAD #11 which cartoonists like R. Crumb and Art Spiegelman cite as having gotten them interested in that irreverent comic and cartooning in general. William Gaines, publisher of MAD, didn't think too much of Wolverton's stuff, claiming that he "drew ugly". Yeah, but that's the *point*.

The, perhaps, scary part is that I instantly recognize so many of these toons.
On this blog I doff my Painter's Hat and don the Cartoonist's Hat. Here you'll find cartoons and illustrations. For more serious work - painting and drawing - please walk over to Boogie Street.
